Anthropic filed its S-1 for a Nasdaq IPO under the ticker ANT, and the document is effectively a map of where AI hardware money is flowing. First-half 2026 revenue reached $16.3 billion, fourteen times the prior-year period, with the June quarter alone contributing $11.6 billion and the company's first operating profit of $974 million. A headline $80.7 billion net loss was driven mostly by an accounting charge on convertible notes, and cash from operations was positive at $3.9 billion.

The hardware detail dwarfs the financial one. Anthropic disclosed fixed compute commitments of at least $114.5 billion to Google, $110 billion to Amazon and $44.9 billion to Microsoft, plus up to $120.5 billion to SpaceX at roughly $3.1 billion per month once chips land. On top of that sit $161 billion in Broadcom equipment leases, covering the ASIC and networking hardware that carries Claude workloads.

Chip and AI stocks rallied on the filing, with Broadcom, AMD and server-supply names among the beneficiaries as investors priced in the lease commitments. For component procurement, the Broadcom line is the headline: $161 billion of leased equipment means sustained, contractually anchored demand for HBM, substrate, optics and power components tied to custom accelerators rather than merchant GPUs.

The filing also showed the concentration risk buyers should mirror: about 80% of revenue is usage-based API billing, the three hyperscalers are simultaneously owners, suppliers and sales channels, and management warned growth rates will decline. Around 11,900 customers now spend $100,000 or more annually, with 250 above $10 million.

Anthropic's listing lands in the coming weeks. Whatever the pop, the S-1 has already done the industry a service by putting hard numbers on the compute bill that underpins frontier AI, numbers that flow directly into semiconductor and datacenter hardware orders through 2027.
