OpenAI and Oracle Launch AI Workspace for Enterprise

OpenAI and Oracle announced an expanded collaboration at Oracle AI World aimed at putting frontier AI inside enterprise systems. The centerpiece, Oracle AI Workspace, connects OpenAI models, ChatGPT and Codex with Oracle Fusion Applications, NetSuite, the Oracle AI Database and OCI, letting employees run approved business workflows through ChatGPT plugins with enterprise governance and audit controls intact.
The suite extends beyond chat. Oracle AI Security Mesh is a managed service that applies OpenAI cyber models to find and fix vulnerabilities across OCI, other clouds and on-premises systems. Oracle App Composer lets employees build applications with Codex and deploy them on OCI without writing code, and an AI SMB Bundle offers $12,000 in annual cloud credits together with ChatGPT Business to pull smaller companies onto the platform.

Infrastructure detail matters for hardware watchers: OpenAI has trained and served GPT-6 Astra on an OCI supercluster with more than 100,000 Blackwell GPUs in Abilene, and is bringing NVIDIA Vera CPUs into production on OCI to run agentic sandbox workloads, where code execution and tool calls between model calls are CPU-bound. That validates the emerging two-tier capacity model, GPU-dense training and inference alongside large CPU fleets for agents.
The enterprise push landed as a legal overhang lifted: a US judge on Monday dismissed a civil lawsuit against CEO Sam Altman filed by his sister, removing what analysts called a key-man risk in any future OpenAI restructuring or listing debate.

For component buyers, agent-ready enterprise software is the demand signal behind the hardware story. Deploying agents at millions of desk jobs implies growth in on-premises inference servers, secure edge hardware and the custom board assemblies that integrate AI into industrial and office systems, a slower-burning but broader market than hyperscale training clusters.
